Thank you for choosing Rubba-Roof – The Unique Liquid Rubber Membrane.
Open containers CAREFULLY. Once open and exposed to air Rubba-Roof starts to ‘cure’. Rubba-Roof should be stored in a warm environment (16°C+) for 12- 24 hours prior to use. Coat vertical/inclined surfaces first.
Do not use Rubba-Roof in wet conditions and be aware that low temperatures, less than 8°C, will slow the curing time of the polymer. We do not advise application below 5°C.
Use Rubba-Roof Primer to close off micro-pores before application of Rubba-Roof on specific surfaces. These are generally:-
- other porous construction material
Once the primer has dried to at least a tacky state the Rubba-Roof compound can be applied.
Rubba-Roof Reinforcing Fleece
Use the Rubba-Roof Reinforcing Fleece to:
- span cracks & small holes etc. in the surface to be covered
- to form upstands, lowstands, flashings & gutters
- around vents, rooflights, and valleys
See “Using Reinforcing Fleece” advice sheet for specific information.
Rubba-Roof Reinforcing fleece should be used between two coats of Rubba-Roof polymer for areas that may be subject to occasional light foot traffic. Cut Rubba-Roof Reinforcing Fleece to the required size and shape necessary to lap the adjoining surfaces. Apply a coating of unstirred Rubba-Roof polymer to the relevant surfaces. Press the Rubba-Roof Reinforcing Fleece into the wet Rubba-Roof compound pressing out any trapped air. Be sure to fully bed all edges.
When the Rubba-Roof Reinforcing Fleece is set firmly apply the Rubba-Roof compound over the Rubba-Roof Reinforcing Fleece treated surfaces.
