There is increasing importance given to the lsquo;Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design’ standards (LEED)and its associated examinations by the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI).

The Rubba Roof waterproofing membrane has a particular niche within LEED qualifying projects where Green Roof systems are incorporated into the construction.

The Rubba roof system is an economical, seamless, strong and micro-flexible water barrier that can form the ideal base of a ‘green roof’ subsoil containment system. European cities, such as Copenhagen, are now mandating that all new low pitch roofs built in the city must incorporate green roof coverings.
breeam
Domestic Refurbishment and Industrial Refurbishment can now seek to reach “outstanding” standard within the C80 objectives set by BRE Global. Rubba Roof Systems for roof refurbishment comply with the “assessment standards for environmentally sensitive materials” that form part of BREEAM protocols.

Relevant Points of Compliance.
Rubba Roof system does not usually require the removal of existing coverings − Therefore:−
Less waste of previously installed materials.
Less disturbance to the existing building fabric.
Lower quotient of energy and labour required.
No need to transport old materials off site.
No consumption of scarce landfill resources.
No disposal costs associated with existing coverings.
No heat or CO2 emissions in application of Rubba Roof.
All of the above advantages relating to BREEAM assessments should be of interest to:
Housing Associations
Local Authorities
Building Contractors
Developers
Facility and Estate Management.

RUBBA ROOF MEMBRANE COATINGS - LIQUID WATERPROOF ROOFING

Rubba Roof is a guaranteed and economical DIY and professional solution for the maintenance and repair of leaking roofs that have cracking, splits or other surface deterioration and failures.

Rubba Roof is a cold-applied liquid coating developed from complex polyurethanes, that has very high adhesion to mineral felts, plywood, bitumen, concrete, lead, asbestos and cracked acrylic painted roof coverings.

Rubba Roof cures to form a rubber-like, 100% waterproof membrane with no joints or seams with a 30 year design life. The system can be reinforced to give full tanking and detailing around skylights, gulleys, upstands and gutters. The resulting watertight membrane is flexible and withstands roof-timber movement, expansion and contraction within temperatures between -30°C to +120°C and extremely heavy rainfall, snow, hail etc.

Rubba Roof is solvent-free, non carcinogenic & environmentally friendly, making it ideal for use as the waterproofing layer in Green Roof designs.
