NEW SOLVENT FREE PRIMER
Rubba Roof has developed a remarkable new PU Primer for the presealing of surfaces such as concrete, mineral felt, timber, degraded metals etc. This is Rubba Roof TL for Sensitive Areas.
It is entirely ODOURLESS and should be used on projects adjacent to air conditioning units, air intake grilles etc. Also recommended for use in confined areas such as marine engine rooms, plant rooms, lift shafts etc. Rubba Roof TL has high adhesion to all microporous surfaces and offers strong cross-linking to acrylic, polyurethane and resin coatings and paints.

Rubba Roof could help beat the Lead Lifters

The astounding increase in thefts of metal from public and institutional buildings has focussed the attention of insurers and maintenance managers on the possible alternatives to lead flashings. Although quite a lot of lead work is now protected by the application of UV responsive, molecular encoding there remains the issue for those unfortunate owners who have had lead stripped off their properties of how to afford the replacement. Insurers are rapidly increasing their premiums and are, in some cases, refusing to insure buildings that may have suffered repeated thefts.

Rubba Roof has developed a "lead-grey" elastomeric coating with a long life guarantee into which a high strength but flexible polyester reinforcement is embedded. This a liquid, cold applied system with the appearance of lead but the nature of a rubber sheeting. It has very strong adhesion to stone, brickwork, metal, concrete and timber making it highly resistant to any displacement by natural or human intervention. Most importantly it has no intrinsic scrap value and will not reward any attempt to steal it.
